- Possible cooperation has been identified for 8 Interceptors (Philippines 4, Thailand 3, Egypt 1): local Rotary Clubs can accelerate these projects through contacts with authorities and waste processors and can create awareness.
- Boyan Slat, founder and CEO of The Ocean Cleanup, was keynote speaker at the Rotary Institute on October 10th 2020.
Boyan Slat received in 2018 the International Leonardo Da Vinci prize .This prize, an initiative of 11 European Rotary Clubs, is for a young, promising person who is active in one of the many fields of work of Leonardo da Vinci.
