Barkha is a professional actress since 2013 in Hindi movies and web shows across platforms – Netflix, Amazon prime video, hotstar.
Barkha has an independent audience of over 4 million people across platforms – YouTube, Instagram and Facebook.
She is co-owner in a vegan women’s footwear brand – Nuvah, and she worked with over 250 brands in their advertising campaigns and have been the brand ambassador for many including Clinique, Garnier, giva jewellery.
She worked with tourism boards of over 18 countries and has been the face of a campaign for Incredible India (Indian tourism board).
And supports animal organisations on awareness and on site treatment.
Education:
- Bachelor in Mass Media from St. Xaviers College – Mumbai
- Masters in Sociology from Mumbai University
- Classes in Marketing and Business Sustainability from UC Berkeley.
Barkha is enthusiastic to be Young Ambassador for Rotary EndPlasticSoup. She is passionate about ending pollution, especially air and water pollution.
She hopes to mobilise the audience, that she has organically built over the past 10-15 years towards awareness and action for a more respectful way of sharing planet Earth with other species. Awareness that includes our daily habits and practices, our education system, the products we consume etcetera.
She hopes to continue using her education (understanding of markets and societies) to contribute towards more awareness and positive change. One step at a time!
