On September 12th, 2026, Rotary EndPlasticSoup, in collaboration with RhineCleanUp and Maas Cleanup, is organizing a large-scale river cleanup. Rotary, Rotaract, and Interact clubs aren’t the only ones who can register an event in their area. Everyone can contribute: your action today will determine the world of tomorrow!

On September 12th we ask clubs to organize a cleanup of riverbanks in a river in your region:
- Rhine and its side rivers in Germany (Moessel, Ruhr…) and Netherlands (Waal, IJssel…)
- Maas (Meuse) and other rivers in Netherlands (Spaarne, Amstel…)
- Danube and its side rivers across 8 countries
- Elbe, Oder, Werra, Weser in Germany
- Thames in England
- Hopefully more rivers elsewhere in Europe (France, Spain, Italy, Austria…).
During the Rotary Europe Action Summit a breakfast Plastic Fishing boat cleanup takes place on September 12th at 7.30 am in the rivers Rotte and Maas.
The River Cleanup Europe is supported by www.rhinecleanup.org, www.maascleanup.nl and River Cleanup.
On September 12th, EndPlasticSoup organizes a Breakfast Boat Cleanup from 7.30-8.30 am, as part of the Rotary European Action Summit in Rotterdam.
