The “Green Guardians” of the Subic Gateway Child Development Center (Subic Gateway) undertake waste management by implementing garbage segregation through creative recycling stations where kids “shoot” plastic bottles and cans into specially designed receptacles – combining play with purpose.
The Rotary Club of Downtown Olongapo (RCDO) donated to the Subic Gateway school on October 2025 a fabricated steel matting container for used plastic bottles and cans and three trash bins color-coded in red for non-recyclables; yellow for recyclable; and green for biodegradable wastes as part of the continuing End Plastic Soup (EPS) project.
The school, located at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone, is RCDO’s partner in the EPS initiative where children learn the value of sustainability, responsibility and teamwork, all while helping to build a cleaner and greener future.
This is one of the schools we collaborated for our Green World program.
