What

Organize an event for awareness in your local community.

Examples of events are:

• a cleanup,
• prick-nick,
• art contest,
• music event,
• bike-tour,
• exhibition,
• theme-event,
• music festival.

Aim

Create awareness for plastic pollution in your community. Show participants you can do something together.
Every 1st Saturday in June, EndPlasticSoup World Action Day is proclaimed.
Many Rotary and Rotaract clubs are involved, across the world. Rotarians and Rotaractors come together and show they are People of action.

Materials

When you are an EndPlasticSoup Supporter or Ambassador Club, you can request forms for posters with your own club name.
Use and show signs or a flag with the EndPlasticSoup logo for promotion and awareness.

Preparation

• Brainstorm, design and discuss the awareness activity.
• Invite general public and local authorities to participate.
• Promote your event in the local and social media.
• Ensure permits of local authorities.
• Invite other Rotary Clubs to participate.

Afterwards

Send ‘attractive’ or ‘active’ pictures to endplasticsoup@gmail.com, jointly with the description of the activity, including organizing club, results and lessons learned.
