End Plastic Soup and Ummy Relief Foundation promote Plastic Waste Education in Schools
As part of efforts to build cleaner and greener communities, Ummy Relief Foundation (URF), in partnership with End Plastic Soup, has conducted plastic waste education sessions at Dahansheli JHS and Jisonaayili JHS in Tamale, Ghana.
The sessions taught students about the dangers of plastic pollution, the importance of recycling, and how to turn waste into valuable resources. To make the lessons practical, URF donated plastic waste collection cages to both schools to support proper sorting and recycling.
This activity is part of the Recycle Up Plastic Project, supported by the West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) through the MACH Grant, in collaboration with Technik ohne Grenzen (TeoG) and End Plastic Soup Africa.
Together, we are empowering schools to lead the change for a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.

On November 15th 2025 Ummy Relief Foundation (URF) and EndPlasticSoup, in collaboration with our partners, all community members, youth groups, volunteers, and environmental champions, performed a massive clean-up and desilting exercise at the Sakasaka Junior High School.
This activity forms part of our continuous efforts to promote sanitation, environmental conservation, and community responsibility. Together, we will clean public spaces, desilt choked gutters, and encourage proper waste segregation to help build a cleaner, greener and healthier community in the Northern Region.
Together, we can make a difference!
