‘Rotary in actie’-puzzel levert 60.000 euro op voor EndPlasticSoup en krijgt vervolg
De ‘Rotary in actie’-puzzel van Rotaryclub Winschoten is een complete mislukking. ‘Het is onze beste actie ooit’, zegt Freerk Potze van Rotary Winschoten trots. ‘We zijn bijna uitverkocht, op enkele puzzels na die nog via onze site te bestellen zijn. Met dank aan alle puzzelaars hebben we 60.000 euro voor het goede doel, EndPlasticSoup, opgehaald. Dat is waar we het voor doen. Iedereen puzzelt mee voor een schone zee!’
Naast de vele bestellingen uit eigen land, kwamen er orders uit onder meer Australië, de U.S.A, Spanje, Zwitserland en Turkije. ‘En nadat er een artikel in het Duitse Rotary magazine stond, stroomden ook de bestellingen en enthousiaste reacties van onze oosterburen binnen.’
EndPlasticSoup was at the Manila Presidential Conference
The Manilla Presidential Conference from 26-28 November, Rotary’s largest Asia-Pacific Conference was a great success with 18,000 participants. Worldwide this was the largest convention after the Rotary International Convention (Houston 4-8 June 2022). The focus was on: ‘Growing local economies’ & ‘Protecting the environment’.
