Nina at the UN-INC4 in Ottawa
Nina was in Ottawa, Canada, end of April, where she was attending a global summit on plastic waste.
This summit, the fourth session of the UN Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC-4) to develop an international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution, including in the marine environment, took place from 23 to 29 April 2024 in Ottawa, Canada. The session was preceded by regional consultations on 21 April 2024.
On April 21, 2024, Aeshnina Azzahra Aqilani (Nina), EndPlasticSoup Young Ambassador and co-captain of Riverin (River Warrior Indonesia), joined the march to end the “plastic era” in Ottawa, Canada.
At the end of the parade, the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Steven Guilbeault met Nina. They both had the opportunity to have a dialogue.
