The Rotary Europe Summit in Bonn 30 August – 1 September, offered a great opportunity to create more awareness about EndPlasticSoup for our European Rotary Clubs and Governor Elects/Nominees. About 600 attendees had a great program about sustainability, intergenerational dialogue, peace, vision, and about Bonn, the city of Beethoven and the home to over 25 United Nations organizations, all dedicated to different aspects of global sustainability.
We enjoyed the great presentation of our next RI president 2025-2026 from Brazil, Mario César Martins de Camargo about “Rotary – People of Action for Sustainability and Peace“, and we were welcomed by the RI Director Hans-Hermann Karsten.
The breakout sessions informed about Rotary’s role for a sustainable future with Rotary clubs and districts in action – how to increase your handprint and reduce your footprint.
In the House of Friendship informed the participants about our initiative EndPlasticSoup, now in 51 countries. We talked about our education and actions, and we showcased new projects. We cooperated with ESRAG Climate Fresk. Our new Plastic Collage workshop is now available for Rotary and Rotaract clubs worldwide.
